Data Scientist (m/w/d)

Your mission with us

‍As a data scientist (m/f/d) at the peak lab, you are the key to turning data into fascinating digital products and intelligent solutions. You dive deep into customer projects and our internal innovations to create real added value with your expertise and further advance our Data Science Lab. Your mission is to actively shape the entire journey from the initial idea to conception and implementation to the successful application of AI-supported solutions and to digitally inspire our customers — and ourselves.

What we expect from you

• Your basis: You have a degree in data science, STEM, business/economics or a comparable field
• Your experience: You have relevant professional experience (at least one year for a master's degree or two years for a bachelor's degree)
• Your foundation: You have solid knowledge of statistics and the theoretical concepts of machine learning
• Your tech stack: You are confident with Python, SQL and common ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-learn)
• Your cloud expertise: You have practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and ideally have knowledge of technologies such as Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Dask or Terraform
• How you work: You use code versioning with Git as a matter of course and have a basic understanding of CI/CD and MLOPS practices
• Your strength: You communicate complex, data-driven solutions clearly, comprehensibly and convincingly — both as a team and in direct communication with our customers

What you should do with us

• You enrich customer projects and internal projects with your data science expertise and develop innovative, data-driven solutions
• You implement and optimize machine learning models and data processing pipelines, primarily on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including using platforms such as Databricks
• You design the entire data science process end-to-end: from requirements analysis and conception to development and implementation to testing and deployment
• You communicate proactively and transparently with all stakeholders — internally as a team with product owners, designers and developers as well as externally with our customers to communicate complex problems and solutions in an easily digestible way
• You share your knowledge, contribute new ideas and contribute to the continuous development of our data science lab
